Neurology OPD :-
Daily Neurology OPD services are available at People Tree Neurology. Most of the stable Neurology Patients like Stroke, Seizures, Headache, Myasthenia Gravis, Parkinsonism, Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis can be managed as an Out patient.

Electrophysiology Lab :-
People Tree Electrophysiology lab is equipped with Nihon Kohden 32 Channel Neurofax EEG-1200K Digital EEG System & Double Channel Neuropack S1 MEB-9400 K – 2 Channel Standalone Unit for ENMG (Nerve Conduction study) , Needle EMG (Electromyography) & Mutimodal Evoked Potentials.

EEG (Electroencephalogram) is extremely usefull in Seizure Classification (Focal vs Generalised Epilepsy) , Evaluation of patients with refractory epilepsy like recurrent Complex Partial Seizures due to Mesial Temporal Sclerosis (CPS due to MTS) & Epileptic Encephalopathy like Lennox Gestaut Syndrome, Metabolic Encephalopathy & Documentation of Brain Death.

Nerve Conduction studies (ENMG) are usefull in Diagnosis of Entrapment Neuropathies like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) & Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS). Nerve Conduction Study help in differentiating Demyelinating from Axonal Perepheral Neuropathy, Differentiating Radiculopathy from Perepheral Neuropathy & in Differentiating Symmetrical Perepheral Neuropathies from Asymmetrical Mononeuritis Multiplex.

Multimodal Evoked Potentials Include Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP), Brain Stem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER) & Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP). These are extremely usefull in evaluation of Demyelinating Disorders like Multiple Sclerosis & Deafness due to central & Perepheral causes.


Speciality Neurology Clinics:-

1. Epilepsy Clinic :- Seizures is a Clinical Diagnosis. People Tree Neurology provides Diagnosis, Classification & management of patients with Epilepsy. Epilepsy Clinic helps patient with comprehensive care & managment. It also helps identify patients with Refractory Epilepsy for Surgical Management.
2. Headache Clinic :- People Tree Neurology provides comprehensive care & mangement of Patients with Primary Headache like Migraine, Cluster Headache, Tension Headache, Idiopathic Intrcranial Hypertension (IIH) & Hypotension, Trigeminal & Glossopahryngeal Neuralgia. Patients with secondary Headache will require Brain Imaging like CT / MRI Scan, CSF Examination & CSF Manometry. Patients refractory to Medical therapy will be considered for Pain Intervention procedures like Botox Injections, Cervical Root Blocks. Surgical procedures like Optic Nerve Sheath fenestration are considered for management of patients with IIH who are progreesing inspite of Best medical management.
3. Giddiness & Dizziness Clinic :- 75% of Vertigo is of Perepheral Origin, often disabling but not Life threatening, 25% of vertigo is of Central Origin many of which are potentially Lifethreatening. A team of Neurologist ( Dr.Rajesh K.N) & ENT Specialist (Dr. Ravi Sachidananda) helps patients with difficult to treat Giddiness with correct Diagnosis & Mangement.
4. Stroke Clinic :- Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke with in the window period of 3-4.5hrs are elligible for treatment with IV Actilyse ( IV Thrombolysis for Stroke). People Tree Neurology has 24hrs CT Scan for treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke. Nearly 70% of Acute Stroke patients make a Complete recovery by one year. Classification & risk assessment of patients with Acute Stroke help prevent Stroke recurrence. A team of Neurologist, Rehabilitaion specialist (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Psychiatrist & Psychologist) help patients with Acute Stroke recover faster.
5. Memory Clinic :- Alzheimers Disease is the commonest cause of progressive Dementia in the elderly more than 65yrs initially affecting working memory. Other causes of Dementia like Fronto-Temporal Dementia (FTD) present as Behavioural & Language problems. On many occasions Acute Stroke, Vitamin B12 Deficiency, Hypothyroidism, Tumors can present as memory & language disorder.

Parkinson Disease & Movement Disorder Clinic :- Idiopathic Parkinson Disease which respond to Dopamine Medications require differentiation from a host of Other Diseases called "Parkinson Plus Syndrome" which do not respond to Dopamine Medications. Advances in pharmacotherapy of Parkinson's Diseases including Deep Brain Stimulation has lead to significant improvement of Quality of Life.

He completed DM Neurology from G B Pant Hospital, New Delhi. He initiated Comprehensive Neurology services at Narayana Hrudayalaya from 2003. As Head of Neurology Department he initiated DNB Neurology Programme at Narayana Hrudayalaya in 2005. He also initiated Diplomo in Neurology under Rajiv Gandhi University at Narayana Hrudayalaya in 2010. At Narayana Neurosciences he lead a team of Neurologists with various Subspecialities in Epilepsy, Stroke, Paediatric Neurology & Electrophysiology Services.
