About Jyothi High School in Hennur main Road, Bangalore

The Bethany Educational Society is a unit of Bethany Congregation. Its Head Office is at Bethany Convent, Mangalore. It has under her Balwadi Centres, Pre-Primary, Primary and High Schools, Pre University Colleges, Community Colleges and Vocational Training Centres imparting value based education, with the goal – Education for Fullness of Life for all especially the poor and the girl children.

The Bethany Educational Society was registered on 4th September 1948 with the title, ‘The Bethany Educational Society (R), Mangalore’, under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. There were 34 institutions at the time of registration. Ever since, the Bethany Educational Society has continued to adapt its policies keeping in view the changing conditions of the society around and has moved ahead courageously in fulfilment of the dream of the Founder.
