The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts is owned and managed by Hotel Leelaventure Limited which was established in 1983 in Mumbai. The company is a part of The Leela Group whose portfolio includes hotel and resort properties; IT and business parks; as well as, real estate development.
The Group was founded by Late Capt. C. P. Krishnan Nair, Chairman Emeritus and Founder Chairman of Hotel Leelaventure Limited, who envisioned The Leela as one of the finest Indian luxury hospitality brands. Under his leadership, within a short span of 25 years, the Group has evolved from one hotel, on the outskirts of Mumbai, into a range of eight award-winning properties across the country that celebrate India’s diverse geography and architectural history. In the process, The Leela redefined standards of luxury hospitality.
The group is currently spearheaded by Late Capt. C. P. Krishnan Nair’s two sons - Vivek Nair, Chairman and Managing Director and Dinesh Nair, Co-Chairman and Managing Director of Hotel Leelaventure Limited.
