Based in Bengaluru, PSI/ARC is a young design practice founded by Pankaj Shivarama.

Exceptional architecture stands in the face of negative aspects of commercial globalisation by celebrating the spirit of individual place; and by being rooted in its culture, its geography and in the experience and value systems of the people that have created it.

We, at PSI/ARC, believe that the formation of architectural space is rooted with the place. The creation of space follows the phenomenological approach towards architecture that emerges from the nature of a place. The focus is not merely upon the physical manifestation of such spaces. The emphasis is to view space as a controlled medium of engaging experiences that emerge from the place. Eventually, it is this space that helps forge an identity to the place. By occupying the space that is rooted in the place, people derive a sense of belonging and purpose that gives meaning to their lives resulting in the birth of exceptional architecture.

PSI/ARC defines its role as a designer of such spatial experiences through architectural interventions or by employing light as a fabricator of spatial experience in a place.
