About Solo traveller in Domlur, Bangalore

Hey fellow adventurers!

I am the girl with the mind that never sleeps. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been coming up with ideas and projects or goals to tackle. I find a lot of satisfaction in choosing a goal and seeing it through until the end. It’s how I learn and grow as a person. My friends call me an adventurer, because I always aim to live life to the fullest.

I’m a little obsessed with freedom, the whole thing about freedom is that you’re FREE TO CHOOSE whatever lifestyle you want. It could mean working from home, more time with your family/friends, more time hiking or cycling or creating something interesting out of the junk.
My partner in crime is Addy :-), he is many things, but a few include Hiker - swimmer-great writer/thinker- chip designer (by profession) and soldier by heart. I won’t gush our entire love story here…but here are a few highlights:
•We met on one of our expedition in Himachal through a common friend, realizing that our interests/ thoughts are so similar, we instantly connected like house on fire.
•we've been together for little over than 8 years now, but it seems that we know each other since years.
The idea of life for me was never just...get a job, find someone, get married, have kids, grow old die…yaaaawwwnn; I'd always had unconventional ways of living my life starting from teaching to slums kids, to painting canvases, climbing mountains and excelling in all kind of sports or to pick up a job which gives me flexibility to fulfill my passions...it's never the obvious route which excites me:-)

As a kid I was seemed to never be paying attention in class…seemingly in my own world of doodles and drawings. Loves when inner kid takes command😊... which is full of creativity and curiosity.
My earliest memories of creating happened in my study room where I painted walls with quotes/songs, creating stuff out of my junk, making celebration cards/ candles, painting waste bottles, canvases and so on. Thanks to my mom who has always encouraged me to learn something new in every summer vacations. Honestly, I’d argue that the best gifts one can give to their dear ones are handmade, buying something which is such an overrated superficial gesture.

After high school, I thought my horizons needed broadening. I attended college, went to one of the best college in Delhi in North Campus... Thought this is it… what else you want but I guess that was just the beginning to expose to new freedom!
I had blast in my college days, helped me to get a job and gives me a chance wore black pumps to work every day.

This seems like a perfect life right?? - good job, handsome salary blah blah…but I guess after getting in this corporate rut you realize you tend to lose control of your real self, what you love the most and what was the reason of you starting this on the first place.

My first love was always in outdoors…doing my backpacking trips to some hills, trekking around in Himalayas or venturing to some place which is away from this city hustle pustle.
there’s always some thrill when I am travelling, exploring places which are unheard or less traveled. Thanks to my genes, I’ve imbibed best from both - 'two distinctive characteristics’ which defines me as an individual.
People close to me known as Mountain girl.

knowing my love for trekking...Lot of people in my circle ask question ,do trekker learn Life Lesson while trekking in some remote areas or its just a time-wasting activity with no outcome at the end?

well off-course Yes, it is said that

“Once a trekker, always a trekker”
in daily life , we usually quit doing things which gives no output or gives very slow outcome, but if you are a real trekker/explorer and trekked to some remote areas , you will never quit even if you gets the outcome very slowly because you know that you will get closer to the goal even if you move slowly., you just have to move in the right direction. your patients level is more than a person who lives a daily routine life.
A real trekker knows that once you start trekking, there are only few ways either you reach to the TOP or some of them will look out for shortcuts to finish but manages to finish the trek or some give up half way.

Don't know in which category you want to fall into... best trekkers usually follow the trail because they know that a single injury might land them far off the destination. they always follow the common way both in life and on a trek.
Trekking give many life lessons. Nature is the best teacher , we just have to be focused and motivated. Goal is maybe far but it’s there !

I guess that’s why I clicked with only like minded souls...Addy being one of them😊. I read an article some years ago which says ‘ go on a trek date to meet your perfect match’ I guess extreme conditions brings the real person in front which probably a coffee date/ movie date wont😊 lucky to found mine on one of my adventure;-). So go out there to find your real trek mate:-)
