About Prayas Youth Foundation in 8-B, New Vishal Nagar, Opp CADA office, Garkheda Parisar,, Aurangabad

In the year 2010, few NCC cadets realising the need for social work got inspired to form a group and this in turns resulted in the formation of PRAYAS YOUTH FOUNDATION. The group activities triggered off by simply collecting plastic scrap on the hills around the city which the members collected during their weekend treks and further properly managed them to the communal dumps. This served as the foundation of PRAYAS YOUTH FOUNDATION. It should be noted that merely within three years of its formation, the group has over 100 members which joined the group willingly i.e. without any publicity campaign or advertisement.

Not only outdoor activities like Tree Plantation, Bird Watching, Hiking, visit to Old age homes and Orphanages around the city, etc. PRAYAS has also organised educational sessions on Eco-Conservation, importance of Reptiles, Biodiversity etc. for its members to create awareness and keep them well informed on such issues. PRAYAS has always focused on utilising the youth power towards the benefit of the society by spreading environmental awareness and thus many such activities have successfully been undertaken by the group. The desire for doing social work in many youngsters today have been strengthened or boosted after joining the PRAYAS YOUTH FOUNDATION.
