The motivation towards which started the group Orphans Home in Face Book was an incident which happened in life.

A 9 year old boy, who was an orphan, met at the hospital and somehow got a chance to talk with him. He was living in an orphanage and was suffering from kidney disease since some years. He wasn’t aware of the disease, since he didn’t have anyone to look after him. And also the orphanage he was living was not in a state for helping him. He just only used medications.
After hearing the story of the boy, had a chat with the doctor. He said the boy is now passing through the 3rd stage of the kidney disease. The only option remaining for getting him back was kidney transplantation.

After this, me and my friends collected some money and managed to get a donor also.

The doctor fixed the surgery on 27th April 2012 and we arranged all the needs for the surgery. But unfortunately on 26th night he died. This is one of the main reasons for the creation of this Organisation.

The group aims at helping the poor and orphans and we make sure that no one should die because of the lack of money.

And now we created an Organisation named “WINFRID STUDENTS SOCIAL WELFARE SERVICES” and registered the organisation at the District Registrar Office, Alappuzha according to the Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act.1955 on June 27th (Regn.No: ALP/TC/578/2012)
And as a part of its activity, our first mission which was the ORGAN DONATION was posted in Facebook. Now our activities are improving a lot.

We have many future dreams. WINFRID MULTI SYSTEM SPECIALITY HOSPITAL is one of it.

All the system of medicines having its own merits & demerits,
Homoeopathy brings best for the skin diseases, female complaints, psycho complaints & etc. Allopathy is very effective for the critical care, surgical cases etc. Ayurveda suits more in bone problems & other cases. Naturopathy & Yoga give us proper medications & health habits for a good health.

So for a proper & complete cure, we need all the systems of medicines. If a patient approaches this hospital he would be analysed and would be given the medicine with love and care for the complete cure of the disease and also it aims at the preservation of health also. "To provide quality healthcare at affordable cost" is the vision of the hospital.

As Our first step, we planned a set of small activities.
1. Medicine Help: We intend to provide aid to ailing families with a substantial amount from rupees 300/- in and around Kerala. Medi cards will be issued to the deserved. Availability of medical cards will be made in conjunction with the selected medical shops.

2. Study Material: The WINFRID Group as part of its extensive social services programme has undertaken the task of providing study material kits to students from financially unsound circumstances as well as orphans. Consideration will be given to students belonging to the state of Kerala
.
3. DRESS: Dress materials will be supplied to the poor needy and the orphans. Our group has planned to distribute dress materials every month for selected persons who are from financially weak backgrounds as well as orphans.

4. FOOD: Distribute highly nutritive food to hospitals as part of our social services scheme. The food will be supplied to the patients and bystanders on a conjunction with the hospital authorities.

5. DIAGNOSIS HELP: We aim in providing aid to a poors & orphans for definitive treatment via scanning and diagnostic tests. Consideration will be given to those staying in and around in the state of Kerala.

6. MEDICAL CAMP: Medical camp will be organised in every 3 months at selected locations. Preference will be given to the very poor and orphans. Service of Allopathic, Homeopathic, Naturopathic & Ayurvedic physicians will be available at that canters. Further treatments, diagnosis test & medicines all are free of cost

7. AWARENESS CAMPAIGN: Awareness Campaign will be organised at selected locations to help the young generation in understanding the menace of social evils such as alcoholism, drug addiction, AIDS, smoking, pan chewing etc.

8. SPONSOR a STUDENT for ENTRANCE COACHING: Financial aid will be provided to the persons, so that they might achieve meritorious milestones in the Kerala entrance examinations.

Winfrid got officially registered on 27th June 2012 and inaugurated on September 29th by honourable Minister Shri. K.C.VENUGOPAL & Cine Actor Mr Sunny Wayne. Now Winfrid have 5 units in Kerala (Alappuzha, Kollam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad). Winfrid members are working with an extra ordinary spirit without any profit for themselves. Within now Winfrid have given Medi Help to S.S. Samithi Abhaya Kendra in Kollam, for a patient named DEEPA who is mentally retarded in Kollam, for a cancer patient in Alappuzha, for a Neuro Patient in Thuravoor etc.

All our units are giving one time food to people on the streets on all Sundays. Collecting dress materials from different areas and giving to needy peoples in streets. Conducting celebrations on Onam - Christmas – New Year occasions for relaxing peoples in orphanages & old age homes with love and care, giving food to old age homes & orphanages.

Winfrid conducted an exhibition on the after effects of usage of drugs in accordance with the 125th Anniversary of Leo XIII H.S School, Conducted Medical Camps & Health Education camps in different areas. From the suggestions of the public winfrid have decided to undertake the project "ANTI-DRUG COALITION"- DRUG ADDICTION FREE YOUTH. Accordance with this project we have been working to make aware of students about the after effects of usage of drugs.

Winfrid Family is based on the motto “A Coin Can Change A Life”.
As we know, in the modern life, day by day people are getting separated in the name of wealth, health, religion, cast, creed etc. Wealthy people who has acquire the most part of the wealth on the earth which need to be distributed equally are keeping their eyes remain closed to the poor and needy people. Religions that have the responsibilities to uplift the downtrodden, provide proper guidance to lead a good life, provide education and thus eradicate darkness of mind are now a day’s keeping themselves away from ordinary people and working hand glove with the upper class and enjoying the harmony of life. Thus ordinary people are become hopeless and helpless We can see the bitter face of poor family, the harmony of richness and sorrow of poverty, uneducated children, hopeless youth, victims of natural calamities, and people who are poor and who suffer from brutal diseases. We have deep concern about these kind of people who are belongs to our universal family and we shared my concern to a group of youngsters working in homeland and abroad who have the same concerns about the downtrodden and we together decided to help them in all the possible ways as we can.
"WINFRID" is a English word and its means “Friend of Peace”. We focusing on the golden rule . “To Live and Let to live”. We extend help to all deserving people irrespective of their cast, creed or religion.
