Coming autumn of 2014 PROBASI BENGALI SAMITI will be celebrating 60th year of DURGA PUJA celebrations .. the seed for Probasi Bengali Samiti which today represents the bengali community of Thakurli* in Thane district of Maharashtra state, was planted in the year 1953. Then the bengali cultural activities started by a group of enthusiast under the banner of TARUN SANGHA and SAHITYA SANGHA, with celebration of RABINDRA JAYANTI, SARASWATI PUJA, KALI PUJA SPORTS etc. This group went on to start show peice of bengali culture DUGRA PUJA ..Today in addition to the above Probasi Bengali Samiti has other socio-cultural activities
1) Organising medical / health awareness camps
2) Medical and Educational help
Our aim is to keep bengali culture alive along with social responsibility
