Like Mother, like Daughter
This is a story of two women, both driven by a passion to bring out the charm, grace and beauty that being a woman means.
This is a tale that was written many years ago in the beautiful ward of Aquem in South Goa’s bustling town, Margao.
The foundation of this story was laid by JACQUELINE LOPES who spent 23 years learning the intricacies of beauty, in order to give it to others of her kind.
It started out with haircuts and observing young minds as an external examiner to upcoming beauticians at a multipurpose Industrial Training Institute.
Ever since it threw its doors open to women from all walks of life in 2000, JACQUELINE'S HAIR & BEAUTY CLINIC was the place women walked to for a specialized haircut.
But the story doesn’t end there.
LARISSA LOPES’ passion for her work probably originated in her mother’s womb.
The buds of her potential bloomed when she announced she was 14. And that potential took her mother’s dream forward.
JACQUELINE'S SALON D'SPA was born at Navelim in 2009 when Larissa was all of 17 years.
With qualifications as a L’Oreal and Schwarzkopf professional in her palms, she headed to Paris for advanced training in nail extensions, nail art, advanced make-up and hairstyling.
France is known for its tastes in fashion and beauty, and Larissa’s rich French experience earned her the distinction of being the only creative hairstylist to be selected from the sunny shores of Goa along with 1,300 hairdressers from all over the world, to attend the Matrix World Tour 2012, at Antalya in Turkey.
Her repertoire growing, Larissa travelled to Macau in 2013, where she was awarded ‘Best Achiever’ award for Lotus Herbals Professional’s PHYTORx range of skin care products.
With Jacqueline as her guide and mentor firmly by her side, the story continues as Larissa’s skills give salon clients beauty services of international standards.
And this is reflected, as both mother and daughter watch smiles after smiles walk out of JACQUELINE'S SALON D'SPA.
