About Mancherial Division Police in Office of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Mancherial

Kondapalli Seetharamaiah, who was considered to be the founder of PWG organization led the team that committed the sensational crime on the night of 07-11-1976 at Thapalpur, Thimmapur and Makulpet villages claiming the lives of Sri G.Pithambar Rao and four of his family who were the blood relatives of Late G.V.Sudhakar Rao, Ex-Minister and also of another person which is the subject matter of cases in Cr.Nos.39/76 to 44/76 of P.S. Jannaram. As a consequence of this heinous crime, Mancherial Sub-Division came into existence from November, 1976 vide GO Ms No.1416, dated 19-11-1976 and PSs and circles that were part of Bellampalli Sub-Division were transferred to this Sub-Division. At present, this Sub-Division is heavy in terms of conventional/non-conventional crime coupled with extremist activities.

Mancherial Sub-Division comprises of four circles and eleven Police Stations. PSs, Mancherial & Chennur were upgraded and Inspector was made SHO. At present Mancherial Rural Circle has two Police Stations viz., CCC Naspur, Hajipur. Luxettipet circle has three Police Stations viz., Luxettipet, Dandepalli, Jannaram (Kalamadugu), while Srirampur circle has Srirampur and Jaipur Police Stations and Chennur Rural circle has Kotapalli and Neelwai Police Stations. WPS Srirampur is functioning from Mancherial.
