Dravidar Kazhagam is a socio cultural movement that aims at establishing an egalitarian society by eradicating the system of Varna Jathi (Casteism) and by creating conditions where different sections of people, including women, have equal status, rights and opportunities in all walks of life. Till different castes and communities attain equality, special arrangements, including reservation in educational institutions and jobs, should be made to enable the disadvantaged sections be represented in proportion to their numbers in different bodies - political, educational, administrative and cultural. Measures to ensure social justice should continue till the domination of the privileged communities or upper castes over others come to an end. This is nothing but an Affirmative Action or Compensatory Justice.
