Originating in Taiwan in the eighties from a mere stall in Taipei’s night market, the drink has become so popular that there are now over 8000 Bubble Tea cafes alone in the country.

Bubble Tea drinks have a Jasmine green tea or Assam black tea base which are infused with delicious fruit extracts, and addition of Tapioca pearls to the drink. These Tapioca pearls – or “Boba” as affectionately termed - have an almost “gummy bear” texture, being zero fat with a delicious caramel undertone and become infused with the flavour of the tea itself.
