Our Story

What started as an experiment with a sauce pan and some sugar has today evolved into a brand that is much loved across the country. A journey that has been exciting with each passing day.

The passionate zeal of our founders Mr. Sathish Kumar, MBA, Mr. Dinesh Kumar, MBE and Mr. Prabhu Ravindran, MSC to manufacture high quality confectionery products with stringent adherence to quality standards paved the way for a successful journey.

Initially, we entered the confectionery business by packaging and selling mints made in the USA. Branded as ‘POW’ Energy Mints, it quickly became a favorite among many consumers across the country. Encouraged by this success, we launched Zubi - a range of flavoured mints.

Today, the Zubi range includes Big and small swirl lollies, moustache lollies, Rose lollies, Stick lollies, Message lollies, Candy Canes and Candy Rocks. To this exciting range we are now adding Zubi Monster Swirl, Zubi Mints and Zubi Gourmet Popcorn.

Our Success

It was our founders’ interest in handmade candies that encouraged them to learn this intricate art from International experts. Within a short span of time, we mastered the process of hand pulled candies, a traditional method popularized in Europe during the 1700s. And soon was born our new offering - Zubi range of handmade candies and lollies. Today, Zubi is one of the most popular and favorite brand of candy and lollies across the country. And it was a very proud moment indeed when our first shipment was on its way to International markets.

Our Process

Zubi’s range of products are manufactured in an air conditioned, state-of-the-art facility. This facility has been approved by FSSAI and praised by Government food invigilators for its cleanliness and stringent adherence to quality checks and standards. We have only used the best food grade equipment, utensils and gear that meets international standards. We only use double refined pure sugar and super concentrate colours and flavours. These are specifically made for manufacturing candy, which are used by confectioners in Europe and America.

Today we can say with conviction that we owe the stupendous success of Zubi to our consistent and stringent quality measures.

The Difference

We make Hand Pulled Sugar Candies, not hard boiled candies.

Our range of gourmet pulled candies are not only irresistibly tasty, they are also healthy and safe to consume. We do not add harmful chemicals to whiten the sugar mass, instead, we use the traditional method of pulling - a process known as mechanical aeration. This process also adds the distinct crunchiness and texture of pulled candies. Though all our candies are hand crafted, in the entire process, right from pouring the sugar till packaging, the candies are never touched by bare hands.
The processes, the quality standards, the hygiene and perfection ensure that our candies are the best you can get. But if you ask us how we make our candies, we would humbly and delightfully proclaim - “Handmade with love”.

Zubi is owned by Ravindra Group, a leading and trusted brand in the marine equipment retail business for the last 40 years.

Zubi products are available at more than 15000 retail outlets, theme parks and cinema halls across India.

Zubi regularly creates the Jumbo Lolly as a part of their promotions, which is the largest lolly in Chennai weighing more than 5 kgs and is a favorite among candy lovers for taking selfies and groupies.

Zubi actively and frequently supports the Brand with activities like exhibition stalls, cinema theatre ads, social media and television channel associations. For example, Zubi is a hot favorite on Vijay TV’s Airtel Super Singer Junior show.
