About Lehugaon in NH 52-Pavoi Road, Biswanath Chariali
Lehugaon is a beautiful Village situated at the North of theBiswanath Chariali town. Around 100+ families are here. Lehugaon at present day world progressing towards modern era, But had not forgotten it's ethnic values.The Biswanath Vaterniary Hospital, Office of Samabay Samitee is here. In Educational field The Chariali Academy H. S. School, Nagaon Nimna Buniyadi Vidyalaya, Ghanakanti L.P. School etc are here. The Primery Schools were established in the pre-independence era. The infamous Sugar Mill was some of it's assets. There are two Naamghar in the village. The village has a pond called 'Sarkari Pukhuri'. The Biswanath Chariali Railway Station is nearby this village. The majority of the Villagers are from Kalita caste. The festivals Bihu, Raas, Vaona, Drama, Sankardev tithi, Madhabdev Tithi, etc are celebrated time by time. About all the people are educated. The Raas festival of this village is a very famous in the district.
